Murex Hexaplex brassica (Lamarck 1822) Gorgeous Giant Inflated!
F++ 142 mm. Very beautiful, unusual deep water form and extremely heavy. Cream/white color with beige, brown soft bands, attractive varices with rose spines on the base, large shoulder knobs and small body spiral knobs, spiny low body and siphon. Pink, rose, white mature aperture and lip with sharp teeth. Has very small worm drills, micro defects, one damaged small body knob and few little chipped knobs doesn't detract from it's overall beauty. Trawled at 80-100 m. Off Las Perlas Archipelago, West Panama 1970
